You were sunflowers in a park,
I was creeping willows in boondocks.
You were like the sky in pretty colours,
While I, was just gray.
You were well kept,
I was wild and chaotic.
You were sophisticated and mellow,
I was invariably blunt and naive.
But they say opposites attract?
It just feels ambiguous.
You brought smiles to people,
I was just cold and numb.
You were carried by grace,
I, effrontery.
You know what you want,
And i, living my life aflow.
You were the epitome of love,
I, the misery of night.
You felt near, yet so far.
But i, embedded from the start.
You were robust,
I was fragile.
You were like cloudburts,
And i, the after rains.
With you, there was always convulsions;
With me; it was just ill at ease.
You were the shoulder to lean on,
I, set aloof of quagmires.
And yet they say opposites attract?
I remain repudiated.
