As Long As Your Here At The Start It's All I Ask.

As long as I see you facing and looking at me so calm,
I'll take a deep breath in and hope what I say doesn't alarm,
That it's been a quarter of a centuary of friendship and still we haven't got round to speaking of the honest truth,
That my hair stands up straight on my neck and arms as your gentle hands caress and butterflies well they swarm and dance inside,
And then I smile and see your face light up full of warmth and joy in your eyes they don't deny those simple words filled of  basic affection and make you smile like a boy,
That for most of our lives soulmate you love me and I love you back,
To the point where I'd take a bullet for you , yet I know you'd get there first, it's the gentlemanly way you roll, for its me you've always protected should an attacker storm rudely through the back,
And I am saying in this poem that I want this passion set loose, let us get what we each deserve,
A friend, a soulmate a home where we can have, a love ever so pure until time takes us to the spirit world where everything for us will be everlove evermore everpure.
