It’s great when you have a budget to spend generously on campaigns, promotions, and marketing in general. Yet, how do you focus on running a business when you are on a low budget? Let’s get real – we’ve all been there. Today, I will share my experience with these 5 hacks that helped me grow my business when I was just starting out.
1.Draw customers by listing your business on Google My Business.
Yellow Pages are a great way to reach new people, but we have to think money-wise. Since I’ve listed my business on Google My Business, customers got a chance to find me more easily. This tool allows you to describe your business and add images that will make clearer what your expertise is. Can you think of something cooler than drawing new customers while you sleep?
2.Optimize your website for all devices.
Oh, you have a website? Good job! Is it mobile-friendly? Mine wasn’t. Your goal is to make a website that is mobile responsive, as this can help you reach more potential customers. I was underestimating how much people were using their phones a couple of years ago. Today? It’s a mania!
Customers love browsing on their gadgets, so ensure they have a stellar mobile experience when they enter your site. Implement the right mobile strategy and you will get the things moving already.
3.Make a fan base.
If you want to grow, you have to ensure you are present on all the channels. Social media gives you a lot of room for growth, when you know how to use it wisely. Connect with people, turn them into your audience, and finally into your leads.
Be genuine with information. Let them know how you started, create compelling and inspirational stories, engage with your audience, be educational, and eventually – more people will fall in love with what you do.
4.Be constant.
Crank out fresh content to improve your website’s rankings. The higher your site’s position in the search results – the more people will discover your business. Do it well, and you will establish yourself as a trusted source in your industry, and that is a game-changer for business growth.
5.SEO-optimize your website.
If you want to rank even higher on search engines, optimizing your website for target keywords is a must. SEO has become one of the strategies that drive growth and revenue but it takes time to learn how to apply it.
Yet, I love taking shortcuts and finding no-brainer solutions. And you know what? You don’t have to invest anything but your time into getting familiar with SEO strategies. Google is your friend, again. Get a good grasp of keyword targeting by using tools such as Ubersuggest. You can find some great keyword suggestions here, content ideas, and also research how’s your competition doing.
