A man stands in front of a war
There he sees
The things that death
Could take;
A moments hesitation
To run for freedoms arms
Would bring death
Closer to the doors
Of Life.
The horrors that an eye sees
The screams that pierced the ears,
The bones crunching under,
The thud that lands;
Everything a man could not forget.
But with compassion
To friends and foes,
Guilt overtakes no matter.
