A Note To My Self

Let's end this year on a positive note.

Dear Self,

Congratulations! Who would have thought you’d make it. You made it this far.

Yes. Contrary to what you think, you aren’t weak.

You. Are .Strong.

Stronger than what your mind is telling you. Stronger than what other people think of you.

Who cares about what they think? But what you think…it matters.

You are strong, keep that in mind. Always.

So don’t be too hard on yourself okay? We all make mistakes, you are not an exception. Of course you’ll make one, or two or three hundred times but that doesn’t make you a failure, no. Take that as a lesson in life.  Learn the hard way. But try not to make the same mistake twice, yeah?

Don’t make it a habit of putting yourself down. Ye of little faith, have some faith, will you?

Avoid overthinking. Or if you can’t, try not to overthink all the time, okay?

Be positive. The best is yet to come, remember that.

Be more confident. You have the guts, to be confident. Now it’s time to show it off.

Forgive yourself. It’s not your fault.

Past does not define you, but the future--that is what will make you. So stop living in the past.

You are a survivor.

You are a fighter.

You are worthy.

You are amazing.

And you are beautiful. Always remember that.

And make sure, this is not an all talk or else I’ll surely knock you in the head, how weird that would look like? So weird.
