A Rainy Evening

Let's make it a rainy evening

By remembering your every word.

Let's gather the stars

That have fallen from the skies,

And were never wished upon;

And who's wishes and hopes

Only turned to stardust.

Let's reminisce the heat,

The warmth of your breath

Against my red, soft cheeks.

How you use your lips

To tame the beast inside me,

And use that to later

Kill me as a poacher

Would kill a lioness.

Let's list down the dreams

We dreamt while sleeping

Under the moonlight.

The dreams that'd remain

As dreams that continues to fade.

The dreams you sought

And weaved with lies

So that you could condition

My fantasies

To handwritten words on the sand,

Blown by the wind.

Let's make it a rainy evening

By remembering your every word —

The words you used

To make me fall from the heavens

And dragged into your hell.

The words you used

To prepare the tastiest sweets

To poison my soul.

The words you used

For the evening to make it rain.

Oh, so very cold rain —

If only they weren't teardrops.
