A Typical Crush Story

I was sitting on the bleachers one scorching afternoon in August, bored out of my wits. The world was just a blur of people going to and fro in front of me, abuzz with endless conversations about Mobile Legends and Pre-calculus teachers whom everyone dislikes. And then you caught my eye. It isn't that the world seemed to stop when I put my eyes on you, no. I just seemed to have moved with it as well. I felt connected again. I felt alive again.

I couldn't shake the feeling that you looked like a celebrity,  probably Gavin Leatherwood, and that I was only attracted to you because of that. I didn't even know your name. I went home, not bothering to ask anyone else about you. I never saw you again since that day. Until last week.

I stood at least thirty meters away from you. You were just sitting there as if you didn't have a care in the world. And that was it. I couldn't keep my eyes off you.  It's been two weeks now, and all I can think about is you. Your smile. Your luscious hair. Your eyes.

It's like your completely off the radar,  though. Well,  not really. We all know where you transferred from. We all know you have a brother. But what else? Okay, maybe it doesn't matter because everyone only likes you for how you look, why would we need to know more details? It matters to me, though. I don't know, but your mystery makes me want to know you more.

What stops me is constant fear and anxiety. Rarely do I admire someone I completely don't know, and I'm trying to figure out how to cope with this. But I'll manage. I just hope I do it fast, before you could graduate without me ever having a photo with you.
