On July 4 of every year, the United Sates of America celebrates its freedom from Britain. Freedom can be a good part of a national sense. When it comes to the Religious living, but, Lord does not need people to be independent. Separate living isn't Christianity but a man-made, devil-induced caricature of Christianity.
I've an ancestor who signed the National Assertion of Independence. I really hope he wasn't separate from Jesus, since he was the sole clergyman to signal the Declaration.
Sadly, but, many Christians have signed their personal affirmation of freedom from Jesus. Their separate living is not really a joyful existence.
Among the important classes of the gospels is dependence. Jesus was totally influenced by His Dad God. And Jesus needs people to be influenced by Him.
When persons hear our title, Freedom Church of Lord, they frequently question if we're connected with any Churches of God. I frequently response by expressing, "We are separate of any entity -- except Jesus." We rely on Him and His Term and the Holy Spirit to find out our doctrine and govern our activities.
Possibly a better way to explain Jesus the destructive freedom that is widespread in the church nowadays is to question that problem: have you been a cordless Religious?
We are now living in age cordless telephones and Wireless technology that we can reduce wires. These advances allow a freedom of motion never before seen within our contemporary world. Battery-operated devices can be easy, but what happens once the battery moves lifeless and you're looking for batteries? Jesus needs people blocked in to Him all the time, moment by moment abiding in Him.
We are now living in a cordless society. When it comes to the Religious living, but, does such a predicament provide true freedom? Maybe not at all. We are called to be attached with the real Vine, Jesus. Our Savior claimed, "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he carries significantly fresh fruit, for apart from Me you are able to do nothing" (John 15:5).
Residing our Lives for Jesus?
Yet one of the most predominant mantras of Christendom nowadays says, "Stay for Jesus!" The deceiver has convinced Christians that they are to live their lives for Jesus. Most of the around 9000 doctrines of challenges in the Religious churches nowadays are blatantly false. Others are subtle within their deception. This really is one doctrine that's crept to the church and has penetrated our songs.
In Freedom Church of Lord we sing lots of the popular tunes from modern day worship leaders. Lord has warned people, but, to not sing out words which can be fake, words that contradict the Term of God. And there are many!
One effective music pollutes its concept rather slightly with what, "I am free to live for You." What assumption! Jesus never informed people to live for Him, as though He were fragile and needed the help. He's not some impotent weakling who needs our help. He comes to live in and through us. He doesn't claim that without people He is able to do nothing. He says the opposite: without Him surviving in and through people, we could do nothing.
By the way, we transformed the lyrics to, "You're free to live in me." And however a number of our members get swept up in the sentiment of the song. They sing the fake lyrics we make an effort to override within our karaoke process even as we sing within the artist being performed on our stereo system.
