Training for one can be a costly and time consuming process, often taking time and money away from the business and individuals.
Licence holder courses are available in a number of different forms. There has in fact been a new increase in their availability online, where individuals access all their training needs online, whilst still taking their exam under restricted test conditions. The need for the qualification is to ensure licence holders are aware of the licensing laws and the wider social responsibilities attached to the sale of alcohol.
A personal licence holder course must be taken by anyone working in a licensed premises, or any venue or site where alcohol is sold, and they are in a position where they will authorise the sales of alcohol to he public.
Once an individual has completed the training for the personal licence, they take a multiple-choice test, covering areas from the responsible sale of alcohol; role of the licensee; licensing hours and unauthorised licensed activity, among a number of others.
If the individual successfully passes their personal licence course, the licence is then issued for ten years, which can be renewed for a further 10 years. Within the UK there are two personal licence courses - one for Scotland(SCPLH) and another for England and Wales(NCPLH).
With the increased flexibility of personal licence holder courses, individuals can now access them in a number of diverse ways, this allows individuals to successful learn at a time, pace and place to suit them.
