Those bees and butterflies that hover within your insides, 

That large idiotic smile that's plastered on and will never leave your face,

That single beat that your heart skipped, the one you once thought was worth it,

Those 2 am thoughts that were stronger than any caffeinated espresso,

All because of that Joker...

The joker that you tried so hard to crack.

The joker that you were so intrigued by.

The joker that never even looked at you that way.

The joker that made you laugh like you never did before.

The joker that simply made you fall in love...

But why?

Why fall for such man as he?

Why bother wasting those thoughts, those smiles on him?

Why get trapped by the one who never tried to trap you?

Why not just see him as a pal, a buddy, or a friend?

Why love the Joker who never loved you?

There's just something about his puppy brown eyes isn't there?

There's something about his stare.

Something about the coarseness of his deep masculine voice.

About the way he strokes his chestnut golden hair.

Something about the way he says your name.

Something about the way he jokes around.

There's just something about every little thing about him.

Isn't there?

But just to be fair,

The joker never played you.

He didn't lie, he didn't cheat, he didn't break your heart.

He knows you love him.

I'm sure he loves you too.

Just not the way you want him to.

The joker isn't evil.

You know he would never hurt you.

You loved him in silence so he never knew.

He never knew how much you wanted to hold his hand.

How happy you get when you get to touch him just a little bit.

How sad you get when the day is about to end and you have to say goodbye.

How upset you get when he didn't even notice you today.

He never knew.

You never told him.

You never dared.

So whose fault is it?

That the Joker didn't fall for you?

Isn't it yours? The fool who never gave a clue?

You lived through each day staying by his side.

Laughing at his humor

Playfully joking around

Loving him deeper

Thinking you never had the chance.

So would the fool now dare?

Aren't you gonna let this madness end?

Don't pity yourself when you didn't even try
