The text above is in a nature magazine, in an article about me , Anke Geurts. My passion for emotion in photography started about 16 years ago: a friend asked me to do advertisements for her clothing store. Because she wanted nice pictures with it, I started with fashion and portrait photography. Anke Geurts Photography was born.

Become a photographer:

Soon I also started providing wedding photography in Maastricht for my work . And when my first child was born in 2013, I also discovered how beautiful newborn photography is. This is how the idea arose to photograph pregnant women with their beautiful baby bumps. Maternity photography in Maastricht also became a specialty for me.

At the same time, I also like the soul in portraits, nature and other images. And my love for details and spontaneity means that you always get special photos. Photos with emotion.

Never grown in the profession:

After all these years I am still learning, for example from working with babies. Inspired by perfection, I already critically analyzed and edited hundreds of thousands of photos. Every photo you get from me now contains at least 16 years of knowledge and experience.

You, your partner, me – each of us has a unique way of looking at the world around us. For me as a photographer, that affects the images I capture. Some photographers are abstract or figurative. Other more romantic. And still others specialize in the photojournalistic style.

As photographers we have one thing in common: we try to work inconspicuously as much as possible. So that you, your child, your bride(groom) or your guests are as comfortable as possible. And the pictures are pure. This is how I like to shoot surprising images for and from you.
