Ayacucho: Turquoise Waters of Millpu exceeds the influx of tourists

During the last few months, the attraction has gained national and international popularity.

The Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (DIRCETUR) of Ayacucho reported that in recent months, the Turquoise Waters of Aguas Turquesas Milpo have gained popularity among national and international tourists, since the number of visits even exceeds traditional attractions such as the Wari Archaeological Complex or the Pampa de Ayacucho in Quinua.

This was reported by Gilmer García, director of DIRCETUR, who explained that during holidays such as the All Saints holiday, the attraction was visited by an average of 250 to 300 visitors; and on other dates such as Easter, Carnivals or National Holidays, the number of tourists triples, collapsing their capacity.

The authority stressed that despite the influx, they continue to limit the attention to visitors, a task that requires joint work with the community to improve some aspects and provide quality care.
