Blind Fanaticism

A government was established to provide the need of their people and control their actions if necessary to maintain peace and order with shedding no blood. But sometimes, power corrupts. The government is abusing their authority to silence critics like journalists or media to maintain their integrity, that they are still doing their job well. They despise the critics so they silence them instead of addressing the issue. They suppress the freedom of speech because they know that if they let the cat out of the bag it would bring chaos that leads to their people to rebel and rebellion leads to subversion.

However to add injury to insult, majority of the people are uneducated thereby susceptible to gullibility. They cannot sense the fallibility of their government. The cunning leader triggers the emotions of his gullible people to gain compassion from them. Consequently, he can commit crimes with impunity and oppress his critics. Since most people are not affected by his actions but some are, they continuously fully support him and revere him for doing a “good” job which is not true and flabbergasting. He did pass a few bills which benefits most of the people, but that is not an excuse to be blindly supporting him and condone his erroneous actions.

They forgot that we are in a democratic country where the power is in the hands of every citizen and collectively reject or approve the services provided by their government. Sadly, that is not happening because a lot of people keep turning a blind eye to wrongdoings of their public servants. Allowing this to happen strengthen the oppression and make their government do anything they want even if their decision may worsen the situation.

It was such a sad scenario to see foolish people continuously supporting their tyrannical leader.
