The blues of Fayrouz

A rainy day starts with a fuse

Listenning to the angelic Fayrouz

What could be better

A sea view and some coins to scatter

Some thoughts and smells

Alot of rain and faraway church bells

A blind man walking his cat

A piece of cheese puzzling a rat

A baby blue sky

Autumn leaves just about to die

What a pity, these beautiful leaves

Falling off the trees

Those that were once green

Are now drier than they could've ever been

Now the blues of Fayrouz

Are sneaking in your ears with some clues

People waiting in the rain "قديش كان في ناس عالمفرق تنطر ناس "

So does an old lady with a cane

To herself she said

"I know, You're dead"

"But i'll keep wishing and waiting"

"Maybe it will never stop raining"

"Until you come back"

"I have your books and your snack"

"I have your napkin in my pocket"

"Your waterproof jacket"

"I even tucked the chocolates in your sock"

"Come back my rock"

Raining as it was all over the place

You could never tell are those on her face

Tears or raindrops

You can't help but stick around till the rain stops

Maybe she would need a hand

A shoulder to cry on or some company in her stand

You summon your angelic Fayrouz

Along with her soft blues

You ask her to bring him back to his wife

You wish she could give back the lady her life

To make her smile

And give her some softness for a while

Or tell her he's in a better place now

And tell her what she doesn't want to know

But would your angel respond?

Will she be able to break their bond?

Will she take away all that sorrow?

Or leave with neither a trace nor a shadow?

Maybe, maybe not

Hoping is all we've all got

You might never know

If the lady found the courage to go

For you there would be no end to the show

You'll move on your way

Always wondering whether or not she'll stay

With the blues of Fayrouz lifting you away

To the next rainy day
