It was morning, and Penny craved for her usual dose of cappuccino served piping-hot. She was on her way to her favourite cafe, and decided to stop by to meet her boyfriend Roy at his office. Penny loved the fact that Roy and she had the same taste in beverages. They both enjoyed coffee, they both enjoyed cappuccinos, especially at night together, and in the morning,she enjoyed hers alone as she was freelancing and he had to reach office at a stipulated time.
As she stopped by, and he came to see her, they exchanged a kiss and hug, and the morning air glowed and caught them adrift on its sweeping splendour. Roy leaned in for the kiss, his dreamy voice intact, his being saturated with tenderness. "What a beautiful morning,"they both whispered in unison. And it was.
She never spoke his full name - she couldn't. She was still hopelessly attracted to him, and doing so would be to dilute the romance they shared, which was punctuated with beautiful moments, all their own. The sweetness of the morning air, the birds chirping, and the soft breeze which crept into holes and crevices left them melting for more. It was indeed too good to be true.
That was the day she would find out that Roy was cheating on her with his office colleague. Her name was Mansi. Roy and Mansi were like two peas in a pod - completely inseparable, unable to let go of each other, seeking cozy comfort whenever possible. Penny had no idea about it until she was charging his mobile that night and saw a suspicious message from Mansi. After going through his inbox, she realized they were together,and had been for almost a month now.
Devastated, Penny wondered how she would break off the relationship. She had grown so close to him, and he had always been like a rock,who had stood by her through thick and thin. She decided to do so in her own inimitable way.
The next day came and went. She spent a lot of time crying in bed, but she was also plotting how to make the breakup personal.
