Captured

I am in love but I want my wings back.
A child with a knowledge only half full, a girl with a self worth half-empty.
I want to grab that pen and write every word my mind would produce, and share the knowledge others doesn't posses.
I want to fly with wisdom.

I want to talk to people and learn new things.
One that makes me think, makes me curious, makes my blood run.
I long for criticisms of the pieces I have created, what I should improve, what I should be careful with.
I want others to see me as a child that's growing, a fruit with a promise of riping, a catterpillar soon to be a butterfly.
I want to improve, I want to learn.

So don't tell me not to write again, don't fake your interest on my pieces.
Let me talk to people, let me hear stories, let me read minds.
Help me be a better me, be the best of me.
Don't kill the artist in me just because you're afraid I'll fly away.

Instead, hold my hand while I tremble for wisdom.
Encourage me to continue when I stumble upon my failures.
Help me find my will to continue when I'm on my chaotic battle against my inner self.
Let me fly, let grow, my love.
