"You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers. (25.76)
And Hazel responds with:
I do, Augustus.
I do. (25.77-78)..."
And the book ended..a life a voyage...this is how books used to appeal Meera...yes a 20 something girl studying science...hmmm . Every time she used to start a book..there used to be different person entering the portals of pens...the person who came out after going through the lines was a new Meera....everytime...!!
She had never felt such kind of bonding before...the characters actually stayed with her..so true was John Green..The lives of those fictious characters just connected with her so perfectly..their longing..dreams..fetishes kind of suited her. wHY..? Maybe coz her life was boring as hell...the subjects of her study were not actually her sujects..her family though very nice was just not her type...Literally describing Meera requires grey words but still her attitude was not so grey..she was not among those whose battles were known but among those whose battles were unknown but well fought. She always had this amazing smile on her face as if to convince everyone..."Yes why not". She had less friends infact i guess no FRIENDS...she said she had aquaintences...HER THEORY WAS THAT PEOPLE COME AND GO AND NO ONE PRACTICALLY NO ONE IS WORTH REMEMBERING...we are sane people not watchmen to keep record of entries and exits.
The only friend she had was her characters.
