There are facts as there are feelings,
I live my life embracing them both,
They rule my mind; they pamper my heart-
I would surely not survive without those.
But then sometimes they quarrel,
They scratch, they rip and they fight.
Inside my chest on a fine evening
They remind me of the human I have left,
Who filled my heart with the beauty of love
And also broke it like a dirty piece of glass.
The burning and the colours are still there,
They wake up once in a while
To hurt me, with the ending of a charming tale
That once innovated the shapes of my thoughts.
The feelings were jolly and the facts were clean,
But now they are as dull as my aging skin.
