I want to wake up just to catch you staring at me,
And your lips would form a soft smile.
And I get to hear your morning voice that gets raspy,
Baby, we could stare at each other for a while.
Then you'd place a gentle kiss on my forehead
I ask myself, do I ever wanna leave this bed?
And we don't have to speak
Cause we already know what our hearts say
And sometimes you'd get carried away
You'd place your thumb under my cheek
I know now everything's gonna be okay.
I wanna be that person
who'll make you coffee at 9 am
Then out of the blue, you'd giggle and smile
And i could see the crinkle in your eyes
I'd be curious enough to ask
Why you're laughing for no reason
And then you'd bring back the story of how we met
And you'd laugh at me when an embarrassing part came up
Then I'll remember how we got stuck in the rain, all cold and wet
You gave me your hoodie to warm me up.
We then realize that our coffee has gone cold
But we never got tired of talking
You'd end up saying "together we'd grow old"
And then you'd wrap your arms around me
And place a soft kiss that leaves my head reeling
I want to cuddle you up
At 12 am when you're still awake
and talk to you till we both fall asleep.
At 2 am when you stay up late for a book you're in so deep,
I'd curl up and tug your shirt
Just to get you're attention.
You'd put your book down and tell me something you never forget to mention.
I wanna take polaroid pictures of you
when you're still asleep at 6 am.
And tease you about how you sleep with your mouth open
I would wait for you at 5 pm, just to hug you endlessly.
And ask you how your day went
Then later at 9 pm we'll watch some sappy chick flick movie.
I know how much you don't like them though,
But you know they're my favorite so you'll watch with me so.
But my eye's aren't on the screen
because their fixed on you.
I won't forget how you cried
When we watched 'A Walk To Remember'
And you'd come up with an excuse,
And say something got in your eye
I'd give you a goofy grin and tell you it's alright.
Then another tear escaped as the credits starts to roll,
I snuggled up in your warm chest and you said I'm giving you more reasons to fall.
I'd wake up just before you do.
Then get up,
And make the coffee just the way you like it to.
Sometimes i'd like to think, what did a mess like me did to deserved someone as ethereal as you.
I know how you love beanies
and i thought i should get you one,
And I'd stitch our ship name
you came up with, just for fun.
I love it when you talk about the future
And how you made plans at 10 pm when you feel so hyper.
But what made my heart really flutter,
Is when you said we'd all do it all....
together.
You didn't hope for a fairy tales and happy endings
Because you said the world wouldn't give you some
But all of that changed,
When your eyes met my gaze
And told me you got your dreams and I'm your only one
I love it when you hold me really close,
because you know I'm afraid of thunders.
You'd tell me that everything's gonna be alright
And you'll never let me go because,
that's a promise you'll hold forever.
I like it when you annoy me
with the littlest things
You know i hate spiders and you tease me with it
when you accidentally found one.
You wouldn't stop and I'll keep screaming,
Then it's all too much and I'll start crying.
But then you'll stop and hug me real tight
And say you're sorry and promise to keep the spiders off my sight.
You wiped the tears off my cheek
And say sorry again for the hundredth time.
And promise to make me a cup of coffee tomorrow at nine.
