People crave for people;
But they'll never admit it,
Feeding their egos even if life turns out to be a bit dull;
Trying to move on facing each and every hit.
I myself belong to the same breed;
Treading the shallow waters fearing to go too deep,
Happy with leftovers as I lack the courage to satisfy my greed;
Wanting to put my soul into it as I long to weep.
Now I try to keep my expectations to a bare minimum;
Trying to look upon every day as a new blessing,
Holding on to sanity although it seems a bit dumb;
As I attempt to take off be it with a broken wing.
