Dear younger me,
Where should I start?
Should I draw a chart,
To keep good and bad decisions apart?
Dear younger me,
I would like to tell you everything;
The things I do in the morning
And my realizations in the evening.
Dear younger me,
I want you to be aware
Of the pain that you should bear
And the love and laughter that you should share.
Dear younger me,
I apologize for the painful memories,
The struggles and complexities
And the regrets for possibilities.
Dear younger me,
I wonder if things will be different
If I dive into a different current
Will there be a lesser pain sent?
Dear younger me,
Should I try changing the choices you'll make?
Give another recipe to bake
Or just follow how the water flows in the lake?
Dear younger me,
I wish it was a smoother ride
All the scars I couldn't hide
I should've avoided the darker side.
Dear younger me,
If I knew what I know now,
If I correct my mistakes now,
Would it make a difference somehow?
