Yesterday night, while I was browsing the Facebook, I passed on a video that opened my heart from the truth.
The video was about a 45-year-old man who entered the police station and planned to have an actual suicide. He was holding a knife. A police officer tried to calm the man down and asked for the knife he was holding. A few moments later, the man gave up the weapon to the police officer. Then an unexpected thing happened: The police officer walked straight to the man and gave him a hug. The man began to cry. You see, this man was so depressed. He was a musician, but he worked as a body guard, and he was not paid. Sometime later, his guitar was stolen, and because of the tough situation, he broke down.
After the incident inside the police station, no case was filed against the man. The police officer invited him to have a meal together in a restaurant and he planned to give the man the guitar he had in his house. The police officer did a very great job, and that's what I'm talking about.
Why do people think that kindness is gone? The fact that you laugh and make others happy (in a good way) is an act of kindness. People always complain, 'there is no good people in the world anymore' for all they see is the negative situations. I think I have to agree that we are devoured by the evil things of this world and we no longer feel the real goodness of life.
But, I want to ask you: What do we mean by the word 'good'?
I have to say that being good is living for everyone. Or maybe, being good is when people see you acting and doing some social norms or anything that is accepted by the standards of the society.
But as for me, being good is when:
You give someone a hug and tell them, "everything's going to be fine, so are you. "
You save an animal dying on the street.
You accept your friends for who they are.
You obey and love your parents wholeheartedly.
You restrain your anger so that it won't cause bigger trouble.
You help an elderly person to cross the street.
You inspire others in everything you do.
You do initiatives.
You entertain people.
You work with your best because you love it.
You are being honest and truthful.
You believe in yourself.
You trust God.
I may not enumerate all the things I consider to be good, but good peeps still exist, for your information. Look at the first word of every example I have written: they all start with 'you.' What I want to say is, being good starts with you. So don't ever say that good people are extinct, for as long as 'you' live, good peeps still exist.
If you don't think you are good, then you're being bad to yourself. Think of anything that you have done that you think it did good to you and to everyone and be positive enough to consider yourself as a good person.
some things must be taken care of individually, and some feelings have to be felt alone.
