Different types of doors compared

Security Doors Direct

These doors are available in both interior and exterior versions. There are many wood options and finishes available.

BI FOLD DOORS

Bifold doors can also be folded inside the door frame. This is a way to save space compared with traditional doors. The door doesn't open into the room. The two doors' sections can be folded in either direction. Frames have a pivot hinge but no track. This prevents wheelchair users and children from being hurt.

LEVEL 5 DOORS

Doors of Level 5 are the strongest and most durable doors. They have never been compromised. They are made in the UK following a strict Loss Prevention Standard. This product is Secured By Design of exceptional quality and has been tested to resist attacks up to 10 minutes.

COMPOSITE DOORS

Composite doors are made of a combination of materials that offer strength and durability. Composite doors are typically made from a combination of solid timber and particleboard cores. The cores are placed in a wooden frame and covered with a GRP coat. Composite doors are cost-effective and almost maintenance-free.

CONCERTINA DOORS

Concertina doors look similar to bifold doors but are more complex than doors with one fold. They do not come with hinges. They are made of strong PVCu. These doors can be folded or unfolded in various sections according to their width. These doors are commonly found in walk-in and kitchen closets.

DOWEL CONSTRUCTION DOORS

Dowel doors can be made from multiple parts that were not manufactured separately. To allow doweling, dowel holes are left in timber during manufacturing.

ENGINEERED DOORS

The engineered door is the most popular. By joining blocks of timber together or splicing them with glue and veneer, you can create stunning results. There are many options for material and thickness. You can match the door's grain by adding thick pieces of wood or metal to the exterior. Engineered doors have a consistent style because of the panel matching.

FRENCH DOORS

French doors are also called double doors in the UK. These doors can be opened outwardly and are hinged.

FLUSH DOORS

Flush doors are flat doors without any design elements. These doors are simple and elegant with high-quality manufacturing. You can also choose from a variety of finishes.

HARDWOOD DOORS

Because of the wood that they are made from, hardwood doors are durable, strong, and long-lasting. Hardwood doors are stronger than softwood, and can be used outdoors more often.
