Dragaurs - Part 1

Once upon a time in an island called Draurland, there lived a strange species of creatures called The Dragaurs.

They are born from pearly white eggs that appear only on some full moon nights, on top of the highest mountain of their beautiful island. No one knows who comes and keeps them there.

There was a belief in the island, that a She-Dragaur at the age of 14 would become all powerful and would attract curse from their nemesis - Bloodgon.

Bloodgon, who is the chief of the Red Dragons, lived in a far far away island called Dreadland. Blood curdling eyes and fiery harsh voice, Bloodgon was a monster thirstier than a Dracula for blood. All he wanted was to occupy Draurland and hold all the Dragaurs as captives - as a revenge for all that he suffered.

The She-Dragaurs, after a particular age, were sent under the protection of a group of witches, who too were She-Dragaurs, but the older and wiser ones.

For the sake of the safety of their island and its creatures, the elder She-Dragaurs rarely came out of the thousands of small rocky caves that were there in the island. For they feared an attack from Bloodgon.

On a beautiful full moon night, with clear starlit sky, a new She-Dragaur was born... The She-Dragaurs were stunned by the beauty of the new-born as she emerged from her shell, for she was emitting bright white light, just like the moon in the sky.

The cave seemed to be beaming from far away, and thus everyone in the mainland understood that the child was finally born... The one which would lead them to peace and prosperity.

Just when everyone was praying for the blessing they received in the form of a saviour, a humongous red cloud hovered low over the island, it started to rain profusely and thunder bolts crashed the island setting on fire the trees. A huge storm was taking shape. The wind blew stronger and the fire burned brighter. Turbulent waves clashed the sandy shore wrecking their homes.

Dony, the eldest of the She-Dragaurs' shrieked out loud,

"NO! This cannot happen!!! Nooooo!!! GO AWAY YOU...!"

"It must be Bloodgon...”

the crowd trembled!
