Many people at one point of time involved in a variety of job-related tasks. These tasks take the relationship, maybe it was among the tenants, employers or colleagues. Regardless of these facts are known, it is always not clear when or where the relationship between the employer and the employee begins. There is a common argument that employee relations are strictly the relationship between one employee and another or between all employees in a particular workplace. It is at times extended to include the relationship between all employees in a particular industry.

When isolating employees for purposes related, it is usually difficult to get people who are strictly in compliance as an employee. While at work, employees advance their careers. Promotions that are bound to occur. 

When one is promoted to supervisory or management role, many times that fellow employees sideline them because of its proximity to the strategic managers are generally referred to as a real entrepreneur. Therefore the question is always the fingers, lower-level managers and supervisors part of the employee?

Many scholars look at employee relations in the broader perspective of the relationship between employers, employees, unions, governments and stakeholders who have an interest either the employee or the employer. All of these play a role to make the working life of staff, employees, and employers value. They help build and advance their interests for mutual benefit and outcome achievement.

But even in cases where the relationship between employer and employee exists, when or where it started? Some argue that the relationship began long before the employees start their work. They found a growing interest in the organization's employees and start behaving or putting efforts in place to be part of it. 

Employers can advertise for job aspirants respond. Nothing is ever a relationship? This application can be considered and bids aspirants for an interview can be given. When the employer does not give interviews, no candidate has any medication? 

It is said by many human resource practitioners that the relationship between employer and employee strictly begins after the candidate has signed a contract or signed offer letter given to signify acceptance of the engagement. Each time, before signatures have been added, there is no relationship. 

It is said to be the case for organizational purposes to cover themselves against lawsuits that may arise from the employer. This scenario is common although not fully implemented and adopted. To cut costs and time, many companies employ casuals who are not required to sign any documents but there is a relationship between employer and employee.

In the end, the relationship between employers and employees can develop due to the behaviour or actions of one of the parties especially the employer because he gives engagement. When and where the relationship begins depends on the timing and level of involvement of the parties.

An employer establishes the rules and regulations that govern the workplace and working conditions. These rules, as long as a good relationship between employer and employee apply smoothly. When it gets sour, especially if an employee is fired or absconds duty, the rules in the workplace can be ignored or considered and state regulations and act applied at a rate involving the courts.

Questions about the working relationship are as dynamic as there are a large number of employees and employers all with varied needs and aspirations and the same amount or more of stakeholders. But just like in a marriage or dating, it is very difficult to say with a high degree of certainty when the relationship starts although one is sure it's there. 

Some say it started when the interest is growing, others after the first interaction, the other after the first date while others say it started after the approval of both parties. I would clearly say that the relationship employees began once an employee has signed an employment contract signifies acceptance of the offer and that he will abide by the rules, regulations and conditions of the workplace.
