Euphonic Melancholy

"How can I forget?

When death stole that 'word' forever

The presence of thee turned to a silhouette

Yet forgetting thy love is fornever."

She used to comb my hair

When I can't sleep because of fear,

She never thought of us unfair

Though she once shed a tear.

She would wake up at midnight

To remind me it's time to rest

For a new day arisen, I need to fight

Told me that I am blessed.

She used to help me review

Difficult questions, she threw.

Chocolates, she would give

For she knew in exams, it'll help me live.

Who would ask me how my day was;

Remind me that participation in class is a must.

She knew talking in front is not my thing

Yet still supports me in everything.

She understands how I valued a pen

Be reprimanded for staying up until 3AM

For now I can already express

All of my agony and my distress.

I can't continue this poem anymore

For the pain of yesterday's still sore

Yet this reminded me to not cry because it's over

But rather smile and conquer.
