Fall

when people fall

they don't really think.

and i know you know the risk

because

it's like someone's

telling you to jump off a cliff

and you know

it's stupid and absurd

but you'd still jump

believing he'd follow if

you fall first.

and somewhere in the middle

of your free fall

you realize

he's still at the top

standing tall.

watching you fall,

and oh my god

he's just watching you fall,

and the ground is so near,

and you're about to obliterate

into a million pieces.

and you think it's okay

because he's going to follow

and pick you up.

but he didn't dare to jump

thinking that jumping

over a broken girl

is not worthy enough.

but don't cry

because you don't need saving

from somebody else

you have to be your own hero

sometimes

because everyone is so

caught up with being themselves.
