Here's a question for you.
What if you never fell in love?
This question may strike you as a removal of all past and present lovers; returning to a state without them. But this is not what I meant, or maybe it is.
See my point is this. What if all this time you've been falling but have never landed from the fall? What if, while you were falling, there was someone falling beside you? There was someone there, at the same speed to wherever this may lead and you thought:
"Hey. Isn't this love?"
So you stuck to that concept, falling together with a complete stranger. As days go by, you come to like each other more and think even firmly that "this is love." Yet, you never noticed the gap forming from the fall.
You're falling even quicker and your lover can't keep up. Both of you dismiss this as a simple illusion; dismissing all this as a mere illusion. You think it could work, but all you've been doing is delaying the inevitable. Until that day finally comes and you see yourself all alone again; still falling, but now all alone.
Then the tears build up, and you ask yourself "where did it all go wrong?" You question where love went, but don't you see? It was not the gap that is the illusion, but the concept of love itself.
You we're falling, but never in love.
And you still are.
You are falling.
That's all there is to it.
You are merely falling.
