Fate

Info

A wealthy man happened to behold
A lady outside his massive stronghold
Dirty and ragged with fishes in the pail
He felt disgust, he couldn't sustain

As he came out to drive her away
An old lady appeared to say
"You're fated to marry that girl someday"
Her finger pointing on the seller babe

With anger on his fists he came to plan
To stab the lass with a knife on her back
Mercilessly chukling in pure secrecy
He threw the wounded girl unto the riverbank

And luck or fate I coudn't argue,
A couple had seen her, came to rescue
Brought her to the nearby village with awe
They cured her wounds and raised her too

Modest, gorgeous, aesthetic and wealthy
Growing fairly, her suitors are plenty
She set standards no one ever achieved
The boy heard the news, he also competed

He tried and tried and courted for months
Until the girl fell in love for once
He gave her a ring and there he proposed
The marriage was perfect, oh, fate, I suppose

The sun goes down, the stars replaced
Under the moon they lay and gazed
The boy saw the mark he cruelly made
Pain strucked his heart, sorry, dismayed

It lies not in our pow'r to love or hate
For the will in us is over-ruled by fate
No matter what we do to ease this pain
Fake it or leave it, still it remains

The gentle heart smiled and forgave
She knew nothing can change their fate
The boy whose heart increased in weight
Cried for both joy and in pain

They lived in peace forever and ever
Happy, contented, about the past
Nothing great can ever replace
The lesson they learned will ever last

Whenever a man may happen to turn
Whatever a man may undertake
He'll always end up coming back from the path
Nature has written in the stars with a rake
