FIREFLY

Tonight I am yet here, sitting in one of the happening clubs of my town, between painted ladies and cheesy men. They compliment me for having good hair colour and a humour higher than their heights. But now I feel melancholic seeing them and it lets me draw out the irony of life.

I have seen people meeting in get-together at late evenings. They hug and chatter.

Feed their hungry hearts with warm smiles and blushes.

But as soon as the sun and moon exchange their places and the dawn comes they behave like an unseen and unheard friend!

A complete stranger, who will only pity on your loss but never sympathize. Someone won’t care whether your life became turbulent or you got your family and bones wrecked.

And so I feel like a firefly, who is only valued at evenings!
