GLOBAL CERTIFICATION SCHEME BY WPiAM WHEN ONLY THE BEST WILL DO

The World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) is developing a framework for the alignment of professional credentials in Asset Management that professional bodies, post-secondary and training institutions around the world can align to over time, in keeping with its vision of "Globally recognized Asset Management credentials."

Individuals wishing to expand their skills by using Global Certification Scheme and contribute to the success of the businesses they serve will benefit from the plan, which will give a laddered career path in asset management. This competency-based system will allow businesses to ensure that the people they hire, no matter where they are in the world, have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to apply asset management concepts in numerous contexts.

The members of the WPiAM hope that by introducing this framework, they would be able to better synchronize global efforts to develop, measure, and recognize Asset Management skills, as well as construct a quality assurance mechanism for the growth of this evolving professional field, while respecting the necessity for variance in application based on the history and culture of each location.

The WPiAM will oversee the process of recognizing the equivalence of specific credentials. The organization that owns the certification scheme that has been accepted will administer the process to recognize persons' accreditation to any of the WPiAM's framework qualifications. Each credential will demand proof of education as well as evidence of practical application skill. More information will be released as it becomes available.
