Dead and gone I am no longer here
My cup is empty, with no more beer
My mind is blank, my heart has no beating
My stories, my songs, my poems have turned to nothing
I guess this is the end, I’ve lost all interest
Motivation gone, and so does my eagerness
Inside this world full of toss & turns
Sometimes you really need to rest when you’re hurt
But this time of the year,
My friend I sadly fear
Today is the last, and I won’t be returning here
My mind has stopped thinking
My hopes have all gone
Mercy had left me here weeping
And my soul is now done
So my friend here I am now saying goodbye
For I won’t stay long, I’ll be gone by midnight
