Long ago in the country Merry land
There lived all merry people and
A couple young, sweet and fair
“Here they come!” “Oh! Love’s in air!”
Everyone adored this sight
For they never had a fight
And always stayed, close to each other
“Such a pair-won’t find, anywhere another”
And a man called Shakespeare
Cried in joy, “Listen, my dears,
Romeo and Juliet, I wrote
Celebrating (sniffed), you both”
He was always inches to her
With curiosity, public taunted, “Sir
We all want to know better
The secret of you both together.”
“Ho! It is not love that keeps us close”
Husband replied carelessly.
“But she’s soft-spoken, has a voice so low
You can’t hear her otherwise, trust me”
