Cats love milk.

Cats might love milk that much is true. But milk won’t love them back. The truth is that most adult cats are lactose-intolerant, meaning they can’t digest milk properly. Too much will result in vomiting and diarrhea!

Cats always land upright.

Think cats always land on their feet? Think again. Cats are very graceful, but they can slip and fall like anyone else. And shorter falls are often more dangerous because the cat doesn’t have enough time to right itself before impact.

Cats are fine by themselves for a few days.

Cats are more independent than our canine friends, yes. But they shouldn’t be left alone for more than a full day or so. Your cat will need their food and water refreshed, and the litter box cleaned out. If you’ll be gone for more than a full day, have a friend or family member check in on Fluffy.
