He was a shining star that has no bounds
And I was the ground that just happens to be around
In his beauty and spark I drowned
And in my unique earthy persona he bowed
The ground kept watching the shining star from a distance
In awe of its mere existence
Wishing, wanting to be wrapped around its arms
To feel his warmth and get lost in his charms
The star that's too high for the ground to reach
Can only offer her the beauty of speech
Although far apart, verses and rhymes kept them in touch
For they still believe one day they will meet their match
They both waited for the right time to come around
But it took years before their love was found
Fortunate, lucky and proud
The shining star finally fell to the ground
