ABOUT COLOR CORRECTION AND COLOR GRADING
Sometimes filmmakers need to be able to take on the roles of director and editor. So if you are a filmmaker, you need to know the basics before you can begin playing with your new color grading software (such as Adobe SpeedGrade and DaVinci Resolve) or with the built-in color correction tools such as Final Cut Pro or your local iMovie. How can you tell the difference between color corrections and color grading? Well, not many people can answer this question, including video production experts.
What Is Color Correction?
This is the act of altering the exposure, white balance, and ISO noise of an Image in order to correct camera settings. You basically change raw footage to reflect human perception. Color correction's goal is to give your footage an appealing visual appearance that is pleasing to the eyes and appealing to viewers.
