I was 2 years old that day. chirping of birds barking of dogs and Sound of the people who woke up early in the morning it's a special day because it's my older sister birthday there's a lot of balloons big cakes the smell of roasted Chicken is in the air my saliva is rushing down into my neck like a slim in the tree. You can hear the chatting of our relatives all over the place the greeting of our visitors. the overflowing gifts the smile and laughter of people around. the cold breeze of the winds you can sense them all it's a perfect day for our family until the tragedy happens. My brother is missing he is nowhere to found my parents and aunties are panicking like ants in a close rainy season they look everywhere inside and outside the house like a detective in the crime scene but they didn't find him. Then my aunty hears his voice it is outside. In a busy road, he is standing there.then suddenly there is a car rushing towards him like a raging river. Time stop everyone is Shock like a statue and the blink of an eye everything is changed because my brother is in at the gather crying like a newborn child and my grandfather is lying there blood rushing through his head like a hose full of water. I was 2 years old. Mid-summer in May, It was my grandfather wake. People are really busy around the house paying attention to the visitors coming to mourn with us even my parents, Aunties, and Uncles. My grandmother is preparing my bath, she placed the warm water on the pale because I don’t want to take a bath if the water is not warm because in our province in Nueva Ecija it is like you are inside the refrigerator every day, I was playing around, I've been running back and forth. Grandma told me that I needed to take a bath because people will be attending my Lolo's wake and she needs to pay attention to them.I sit on the warm water not knowing that it is not warm enough for my body. I cried so hard like a newborn child, my skin burned so bad like a toasted bread, people were shocked like they seen a ghost, my dad carried me and put me in the freezer. I've been crying for hours none stop like a machine. Every night my mom puts cream on the burned area so that I can't feel the paint of that burn, it really took months before my skin heal and get back to normal shape. They always paying attention to me because even though I have burns I still running around like a cheetah chasing the prey. at the house, people always talk to me to get my attention so that I will stop running around but I am unstoppable like running train. After a week all my relatives are dress like they will go the party they wear a white bandana in the head. Holding white flowers and crying like a child. That is the day when they will carry him to the cemetery of my family and relatives it is hard like throwing a gold in the sea then you know that it will never come back again but we need to accept the fact that our lives have limitations. When we are at the cemetery They putting the coffin inside the Nicho They all Cried like a bees watching there house destroyed and after that we headed back home the emotion of my family is indescribable like a puzzle with missing piece and that is my Most memorable Childhood Experience, The realization here is that no matter how to hurt you've been, how pain caused you, time always heal the wounds. No matter how big or small, you will be healed Just Hold on don't Give up because Lord God will not give us problem if we can't handle it and be thankful in what you have because life is short you don’t know when he will take it back the life that he lent to us.
This is a story of a young man who seek justice for his father and for his people in kitame village.
