How Am I?

I started the engine
and drove for a mile
These headlights are enough
to see what you've been hiding for a while
You sit with your head hung
and your hands on each side
Then said "I messed up this time,
I wasn't ready when you told me that it's alright"
My heart bursting out
and my eyes open wide
I said "Look at me
Look at the stars
They'll spell out your name and mine
And if you can't see it
My lips will scream them out tonight"
The waves blocked the silence
That's the best I could imply
Not one part of you moved
I hope you won't decline, but
You only wished the dawn will soon arrive
so you could finally feel alive
Well, how am I?
