How Long Does It Takes To Fall In Love?

"How long does it take for a man to fall in love? Years? Months? Weeks? Days? Hours? Minutes? Or a ten seconds?" These are my thoughts as I stare with the lady in front of me in a public utility jeep. It seems that time had stopped at that very moment. Charming brown eyes, petite body frame, wavy black hair and lips painted with pink lip gloss - I never believed in angels but if they aren't true, what do you call this beauty before my eyes? And I thought I ran out of luck. Why you say? Well let me enlighten your minds of my rich misfortune prior to this moment.

I am a salary man working as a call center agent in a company near my apartment. As the readers might have already noticed, I am in a tight situation as I was robbed the other day of my bag, gadgets, watch, money and (please don't laugh) my clothes. I worked in a graveyard shift, which means my working schedule is during night when everybody sleeps. Oh right, not everybody since those two robbers were apparently awake last night. To make the long story short, I am broke today. When I woke up this morning, I have letters in my mailbox and behold, three letters from different companies! Yes you're right, they were bills: electric, water and internet. So I got no money, no food and a mouthful of misfortunes to swallow. I got loads of it from other days too which will not be covered at this work (if you are interested to know, write a comment below you heartless people!). Well, that's about it.

Now going back to this blissful moment, I am still in awe of this beautiful creature before me that I took up a pen and a notebook (my phone was stolen remember?) to sketch her. I am always good in arts way back 2007 when I'm still in high school (now stop computing my age!). With great concentration amidst the difficulty of drawing while inside a moving vehicle, I finished a magnificent portrait of her. Now to my next move, I sat beside her and whispered to her, "Miss, may I get your number?" asking her to write it below my portrait. She turned to me then to the notebook and said,

"Was that supposed to be me? (chuckles)"

I blushed as she said those words. And yes, I lied to all of you; I'm not really good with arts. Nevertheless, she smiled at me and said,

"Well that's cute of you."

She stooped down to write her mobile number below my awesome "sketch".

How long does it takes for a man to fall in love? For some it takes years. To others, months. Still there are those who fall in love in a matter of days or hours.

And there are people like me who fell in love in ten seconds.
