How to Avoid Duplicate Content in Article Marketing

One of the most difficult issues for anyone new to article marketing is determining whether they are generating duplicate content within the article they have created and how to check for duplicate content when article marketing. To learn how to check plagiarism, click here

Writing articles for submission to article directories is the process of article marketing. The disadvantage is that all of these sleep article directories require that the documents / articles you submit contain unique content.

Before submitting your article to an article directory, you can use an online plagiarism checker to see if it contains duplicate content or if it is deemed unique by a search engine.

Simply typing in terms like plagiarism checker, online plagiarism checker, free plagiarism checker, and so on should yield a plethora of results.

For me, the plagiarism checker I use has two significant advantages: in addition to checking the article content, it also renders the document in a text format suitable for loading into the HTML readers of the article directories.

I usually create my documents in Microsoft Word, which unfortunately does not conform to the formatting requirements of some article directories.

To get around this, copy your article and paste it into Notepad or WordPad, where the document will default to a text style document.

Write your article in Microsoft Word instead. After finishing the article, highlight it and copy and paste it into the plagiarism checker, which will also convert the document from a word document to a text document.

As previously stated, I prefer to use one of Search-Engine-Reports' free online plagiarism checkers. This plagiarism checker is very quick, simple, and easy to use, and it works well with copying and pasting directly into the Enter Text box. You can also browse to a document or enter the URL of a website.

Simply enter the text to be checked for duplication into the large Enter Text box and click the Create Report button. The length of time it takes to return any results is determined by the size of the document you wish to check.

If, at the end, the plagiarism checker has not found any duplicate content. It will display the following text:

The content appears to be unique.

If, on the other hand, it detects duplicate content. It will display a list of text it deems to be duplicate content under the Results heading, with the option to view where this duplicate content resides.

There will be times when, through no fault of your own, the plagiarism checker will return results, quite often on generic terms and phrases that are commonly used, which you would probably prefer not to change.

I wrote an article and ran it through a plagiarism checker. If any results are returned based on duplicate content. I usually go back to my original article, find the string of text displayed in the Results area, and try to modify it in a way that is different from the original, such as swapping the structure around or looking to see if I can change one or two other words using Microsoft Word's synonyms option.

Your articles should be accepted if you take pride in the information you submit to the various article directories and run them through one of the free online plagiarism-checking sites.
