When choosing the right port settings, you will have to deal with a number of variables. A firewall is installed in Apple iPhone and Email servers. Therefore, the firewall installed in both places will decide whether the port settings that you’ve chosen will allow you to send and receive emails or not.
To change port settings on Apple iPhone, follow these steps:
1. On your iPhone, go to ‘Home screen’ and then, tap ‘Settings’.
2. Then, tap ‘Contacts, Calendars, and Emails’ after selecting ‘Settings’ option.
3. To change the email account, tap on it and change it with the one you would like to configure.
4. Tap ‘SMTP’ followed by selecting ‘SMTP Server’ that you wish to change.
5. Tap the correct server port field followed by entering ‘SMTP’ port, which will be like 25, 80, and 3535. You can also select ‘465’ if the SSL settings are already enabled.
