How to Send Email From HP Printers through Gmail

Info

On our HP Printer, there's a characteristic called'Send to Mail'. It's possible to scan a document and get it delivered to your email address. What a simple operation in the 21st century! But I am having difficulty setting it up -- and its achievement came at the cost of my email safety. I must turn 'Permit less protected program' in my Gmail account setting to make it work!

I'd mixed feelings about this. Why can it be so tough to accomplish this type of simple operation? But in addition, it gives me some type of confidence. It is possible to protect against third-party tools from sending emails on my own behalf, even though it's my password.

To begin with, I followed the instruction on the HP Printer, which directed me into an internet portal. (The Internet port URL is displayed on the printer display, however, if your printer Doesn't support this, You Might find it by printing from the printer's settings page)

Note: On the other hand if you want to know more about the yahoo mail printing service, then you are welcome, How to print an email from yahoo is not so difficult to perform, you need to just follow the given option. For more info, you can visit us!

I had been on Chrome, but it threw a large' insecure' warning when I tried to log into some page that needs admin access.

In the internet portal, there's a part called Mail to Print installation.

What can you place in SMTP Server and SMTP Port? According to the Google Article, you will find 3 choices:

SMTP relay service -- Send email from your company by authenticating with all the IP addresses. It is possible to send messages to anyone inside or outside your domain name.

Gmail SMTP server -- Send email to anyone inside or outside of the domain name. This choice lets you authenticate with your Gmail or G Suite password and account. This choice doesn't require that you authenticate.

I tried the recommended SMTP relay strategy, however, it failed.

Nonetheless, this is just one important final grab. After I did a test run, the email didn't come through and Gmail delivered me a safety alarm: Review obstructed the sign-in effort.

To enable the email to come through, I must turn 'Permit less protected programs' In my Gmail Account setting.

My Email Saved From HP Printer via Gmail

Their customer service is fantastic! They pointed out allowing the secure app might be the only method to make this work with Gmail.

On one note, HP Send to Mail might not work to get Gmail if you've Two-Step Verification allowed to your Gmail account (so It's Going to Request a confirmation code in the phone/another email when you log in on a brand new apparatus )

Finally, I decided to turn off the Send to Mail feature. I am somewhat cautious about allowing secure program access to my accounts. It might matter my accounts into phishing and other security vulnerabilities.
