How to Teach a 21st Century LEARNER?

Education starts from the heart so at the very moment that a teacher touches the heart of her students, she's already educating them. Our affective side is connected to the cognitive which only process the information. According to my experiences, it is not really the domain that is responsible for the retention because if a learner don’t internalize things within his heart, he will not remember it. If there is no retention, teaching is nonsense at all.
21st century learners are born in the age of technology. I as an educator, I should not keep them in a box but instead I will let them explore the world because authentic learning experiences are better than what is written in a book. Published materials are good sources of facts but I should also be familiar with those existing technology.
Learners are knowledge-seekers and great observers of things. As a result, they become sponges who pick up all the knowledge. We all know that all information are thrown everywhere so as a facilitator of truth, we should teach them to be a strainer. Strainer, in the way that they can separate the essential knowledge to those trash that are not important.
Actually, I just know few ways in teaching them but one thing is for sure, I am committed to teach them what they need to learn in 21st century.
