HOW TO TELL HOW MUCH VIDEO RAM IS ON A TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP

Knowing how many colors your laptop can display, or how large resolution it can technically display is a function of how much RAM your laptop's graphics card has at its disposal. In general, this information is not readily available through the laptop, as it does not appear in the BIOS, and it will not appear in Windows either. Thankfully, taking the laptop apart and inspecting the video RAM chips isn't the only solution.

instruction

Everest Home Edition

1 Download the Everest Home Edition installation file.

2 Run the executable file after the download is complete. Follow the instructions to choose the desired installation folder, etc.

3 Run Everest Home Edition. Click the + next to view in the left pane, then click GPU. In the right pane you will find information about your system's video card, including how much RAM it has.

GPU-Z

4 Download the GPU-Z software from TechPowerUp.com.

5 Run the executable file once the download is complete. It does not need to be installed in the common sense, as it is a completely self contained application. Installing GPU-Z is simply a matter of creating a folder for it in the Program Files directory (or wherever the user wants to put it), and running it from there.

6 Locate the Memory Size section approximately two-thirds of the way down the GPU-Z application window. Here you will find the amount of RAM, what type it is, its bus width, and its bandwidth.
