Step 1

Right-click on the Avast icon in the taskbar system tray and choose Open Avast! The user interfaces from the drop-down menu. The Avast Antivirus program can be started by double-clicking the icon or by searching for it in the Start menu.

Select the Protection button on the left panel. Click on the Core Shield option.

Step 3

To disable the web shield, click the toggle button located under the web shield option. Next, choose the time duration option from the drop-down menu. You can choose to pause the program for just 10 minutes or until it restarts again. To permanently block blocked websites from your browser, select "Stop indefinitely".

To confirm your changes, click the OK button and close the Avast application. Open any browser application, such as Google Chrome, on your computer. Now visit any website blocked with Avast Antivirus.
