How to uninstall WordPress in HostGator Cpanel?

Steps To Remove /Uninstall Wordpress From Hostgator-

1. Login to Hostgator by entering your username and password.

2. As soon as you log in you will be moved to the Hostgator cPanel dashboard.

3. Search for the Files section and select File Manager from the section. The file manager page will appear on your screen.

4. Look for a folder named public_html. Press on the plus sign that is next to it.

5. In the same list, you also need to find the name of your domain linked with your WordPress account. Once you get the domain name, click on the plus sign beside it.

6. Look for the wp-config-PHP file. Select the file and click on the Edit tab available at the topmost right corner. After this, a dialogue box of Text Editor will pop on your screen. Click the Edit button to start the uninstalling of WordPress.

7. When the file opens with the help of Text Editor, search the database name. You will find the database name at the beginning of the code. Write or copy the database name somewhere as you will need it in the upcoming steps.

8. After completing this task, close the tab.

9. Below the topmost menu bar, you will find a sub-menu bar. When you will on the Delete Option. Press on Select all. The tab is available in the right corner.

10. Move back to the Hostgator cPanel page and click on the Databases section. Select the My SQL Databases option. Once the option opens, a list will scroll down containing the list of all the databases present in your Hostgator account.

11. Find the database name. Look into your notepad where you might have copied the name in the previous steps.

12. Select the database and press Delete under the Current Databases option. Move to Current users and also delete the user for your current database that you just deleted.

13. After pressing delete, your WordPress account will get deleted from Hostgator cPanel.
