If I were to write a song about you
It would be short and sweet
A simple melody that would make me feel a sense of liberty and solace
The first verse would be about how our collision was merely a pure coincidence
The second verse would be a transition of how I'd realize that our meet wasn't a coincidence but an innocent serendipity
Now you'd start to see a pattern of how I felt when I was with you
You'd expect me to write about the joy I felt whilst being with you in the chorus
But the joy I once felt died by the end of the pre-chorus
The chorus would be where you left me in my many oceans of tears
The hardships and pain I felt after
And the song would end just like that
If I were to write a song about you
It would be very short and quick
Meaningless and simple
