"Why do you write?"

I have never asked myself the same question before. 

I just write simply because I wanted to. I write whenever I feel like doing it but the reason behind it, I never actually did think about it. Upon reading this question, my mind suddenly felt the urge to provide myself with answers. And these are what I've realized...

I write to express. For I am not a girl who always tend to speak her mind, I use writing as a means to let out my feelings. I write because I prefer writing than telling my story face-to-face with people who always hide themselves behind masks. People whom I cannot trust. In writing , I find comfort .

I write to realize. My mind is overflowing with thoughts about certain things that I am unsure of. At the end of every article I write, I usually find myself renewed with realizations.

And lastly, I write to speak with him. I write to let out the words that I am not allowed to say to him. I write with a faint hope that someday, he will be able to read all the letters I've dedicated to him. I write with a dream that I will be with that person one day. I write all because he inspired me to do so. I write because of him- the ink that gives life on my blank sheet of paper.
