When a relationship fails, the struggle is real. There are the endless "whys" and futile efforts to make the pain go away. You tell yourself that the person who caused you pain does not deserve you but end up wanting to be with that person over and over again.
It is actually a cycle of vicious battle within yourself because there is that part in you that wants to let go but there is also another part that continues to hold on. One day you wake up and it feels as if you are on the road to moving on but then again you wake up the next day and you find yourself walking the memory lane. Again.
But you see, no matter what you do there are some things in this world that just would not fall back into place. And that includes what you two once had. Not everyone find their way back to each other after getting lost. Because while you choose to travel the old path that leads you back to her, she may have found a new path she thinks is better. It is a very painful truth that you have to accept. Because not all broken pieces are bound to be put back together. Sometimes we just have to leave it the way they were.
It is difficult. And it will take everything out of you. But you have to be strong. No one will be there for you because they will never know how that hurts for you. How it slowly kills you and how you wanted to end the pain so badly. But remember, everything that comes to an end will eventually find a new beginning. It may take time, but it will. Eventually.
So, learn to let go.
Because truth is, it's over when it's over.
