I love this straightforward, delightful song. Albeit this is a song that is by all accounts sung with youngsters, it is a psalm that I love on the grounds that there are so often I need a basic update that "Indeed, Jesus loves me."
For what reason is it so hard sometimes to get a handle on this fact? 1 John 4:9-10 says "This is the way God showed his adoration among us: He sent his solitary Son into the world that we may cherish through him. This is love: not that we cherished God, but rather that he adored us and sent his Son as a making up penance for our wrongdoings." God cherished me such a lot of that He forfeited Jesus, His Son for me. Also, this steers clear of me and my affection for Him since He kicked the bucket for me when I was only an unrepentant delinquent. At the point when I sit and meditate on this, it is simply excessively overpowering and hard for my cerebrum to fathom in light of the fact that separated from Jesus, I'm nothing, I'm dishonorable and I'm a heathen.
However, Jesus loves me. He loves me and hears my petitions… every one of them. Have you at any point felt that since His endowment of salvation is immense to such an extent that some petition demands are too minor to even consider bringing before the high position of God? Why trouble God with the little stuff in my life when there are such countless gigantic battles and issues in the existences of others? Well this is on the grounds that Jesus loves me and He needs to hear from me. You can't have a profound cherishing relationship with someone in case you're not speaking with them on many levels and this is valid… much more so… .with our Lord.
Phil. 4:6 says "Don't be restless for anything, yet in all things, by supplication and appeal, with thanksgiving, present your solicitation to God." We are to lift every one of our interests to Him. A significant key part to our petitions is in our expressing gratefulness for whatever God is doing in our lives… the gifts and the battles. He is never too occupied to even think about hearing my petition regardless of how large or little.
Ps. 66:17-20 "I shouted out to him with my mouth; his applause was on my tongue. In the event that I had treasured sin in my heart, the LORD would not have tuned in; however God has definitely tuned in and heard my voice in petition. Commendation be to God, who has not dismissed my supplication or retained his affection from me!"
Much obliged to you Jesus! Indeed, Jesus loves me.
